Holly Von Lanken Photography is now offering Mentoring Sessions! I've had several creatives from photographers to wedding planners and calligraphers reach out to me about various aspects of running a small creative business. I'd love to be able to be thoughtful for these creatives and schedule out those one on one times to offer the best strategies and advice that I can.
You haven’t yet made the leap from hobby to full fledged entrepreneur and the task seems daunting. Sound like you? This may be the mentoring path you’d like to sign up for. I’ll show you some action steps on how to officially launch your biz legally while thinking through all the necessary and sometimes scary steps that you may need to think and plan through before taking that leap. As a side note, if you’re intending to make money and this feels like more than a hobby, you need to be legal.
Portfolio Review + Q@A
This type of mentoring session might be a great fit for you if you’re still new to the industry (less than 2 years) and are legally operating and booking your own clients but want to grow your business with the intent to go full time. I’ll review your portfolio and deliver a document with action steps moving forward. We’ll sit down for coffee and chat and you can ask all the questions you may be wondering about running a small business.
Finances, taxes, and government buildings are scary. We’ll talk through how to set yourself up for success so that you have a system in place for running a smooth business from client communication to being ready when tax season rolls around.
Do any of these sound like you? Shoot me an email at email@example.com or use the contact form below.
Hands on sessions
You love photography, but aren’t sure if you’re confident enough to charge money and want some more practice? Come on a shoot with me to practice your skills. Afterwards, we’ll review your work and talk about editing as you hone your style. *limited availability
You bought a DSLR and love it and even on auto it takes way better photos than your iPhone, but not quite sure how to shoot in manual or know what all those other buttons do? Maybe you own a non photography related small business and want to learn how to take better photos of your products? During these sessions, we’ll go through all the basics and then dive into some practice!
